Blackboard
Blackboard is an
on-line software platform that allows student access to the following essential
course tools:
- Syllabi, writing assignments, handouts,
current grades and other miscellaneous material for the courses I am teaching
this semester. Most of these are read-only MS Word document files. These
files are best viewed on a Microsoft Explorer browser or on any computer
running Microsoft Word 7.0 or higher. If you have difficulties viewing anything
on this page, you should use one of the computer labs on campus. If you
still have problems, you should contact
me.
- Up-to-date announcements relating
to these courses. I suggest that students frequently check their course
page(s) for announcements.
- Online quizzes and other assessments.
-
The means of communicating
with your instructor, a classmate, or the whole class via email and/or a
discussion board.
-
Other suggestions
that will allow you to succeed in my classes. In particular, you should
take my comments about writing very seriously.
